Monkey{Shine}Designs

I've been going back and forth debating on whether or not to open a shop on Etsy for a while now.  With much encouragement from my friends and family, I decided to take the jump off the high dive into the deep end plunge.  I tell you what, it was harder to actually get myself to click the sign up button than it has been since then.  I haven't been this excited about anything (that I've done for myself) in a long time.

The name Monkey Shine was a name my mom called me as a child growing up.  It embarrassed the you-know-what out of me, to be quite frank.  After having my own kids, I've realized that nicknames you give your children don't always make sense, but they fit the kid, and are given with so much {love}.  Katelyn has several nicknames:  Bubba (nice, huh?), Katie, Katie-bug, Buggers (not boogers).  Eric is Ty-ty, Mr. Eric Ty, Buddy, Little Man, and also Bubba sometimes.

So wish me luck, folks.  I'm starting a new endeavor!
