Katelyn is 5

{Happy Birthday} Katelyn

Five years ago, our lives completely changed.  After 32 long hours of labor, being sent home from the hospital under the effects of a sleeping pill (once home, I actually hallucinated that I had a hospital staff coaching me through my contractions, and that we had baby circus animals in the bathroom), and back in the hospital three hours later, Katelyn Elizabeth was finally born the next morning at 11:06 AM, July 3rd, 2005.  She was an absolutely beautiful, healthy baby girl at 7 lbs. 10 oz, and 19 inches long.

I look so tired!  Oh my goodness.  :)

And five years later...

For Katelyn's fifth birthday, family and friends came over for a small butterfly-themed party.  We had hot dogs per Katelyn's request, then all went down to the park to fly kites and blow bubbles.  Then it was back to the house for butterfly cake and presents!  I think everyone had a great time, and I know Katelyn did!
