I cannot believe it. My baby is 2. Two years ago (almost exactly the same time as I write this) I went to the doctor's office not expecting anything exciting to be going on (even though it was my due date!) I had even set up a playdate for Katelyn later that morning. Much to my surprise I was 3 cm dialated! The doctor asked if I wanted to have the baby that day (dumb question for a 40 week pregnant lady) since he was on call. Um, yes please!
By the time I drove myself home, and sat down to eat something, my contractions were already 2 min. apart. My head was spinning, and needless to say, I called off the playdate, and called my cousin to come pick up Katelyn. My doctor's appointment was at 9 AM and we were at the hospital at 11:30 AM. Unfortunately for me (well, more so for Jason and my mom) I was stuck in a triage room for 2 or 3 HOURS on a VERY uncomfortable cot/bed thingy. I was very grumpy. Yeah, that is an understatement. People just kept coming in and having babies, so I didn't have priority of having a room. I think I finally got into a labor and delivery room around 3, was at 7 cm, got my epidural (thank GOD), and Eric Tyler was born around 5:30 PM. 8 pounds, 6 ounces, 21 inches long!
Here he is, brand spankin' new:
And a few more dressed in his cute newborn clothes and the blanket GramE made:
Then at home, he was a very sleepy baby! (Thank goodness for that, because Katelyn did not sleep as much as a newborn should have!)
And one of my most favorite pictures ever:
And now he's 2. {sniff, sniff}
He certainly is Mommy's little monkey!
So sweet! It definitely goes by way too fast! I love that blanket! Oh and Sawyer was 8.7 at birth! Almost the same! Hope you guys had a great birthday!
